Karisma Kapoor and her late ex-husband Sunjay Kapur’s daughter, Samaira Kapoor, was recently seen by paparazzi in Mumbai. Samaira, who usually avoids the spotlight, made a rare public appearance. The 20-year-old didn’t pose for photos, but was seen getting into her car and talking with someone in the backseat. A video posted by Instant Bollywood on Instagram showed Samaira entering the car, wearing a black dress with her hair in a half bun. She appeared happy while chatting with someone inside.
The video became popular online, with fans noting her resemblance to her mother, Karisma. One fan wrote, “Like mother like daughter,” while another commented, “She looks like young Karisma.” A third person said, “She is so beautiful and simple. Gorgeous.”
Karisma, married to businessman Sunjay Kapur from 2003 to 2016, has two children with him: 20-year-old Samaira and 14-year-old son Kiaan. In 2020, when asked if Samaira wanted to join Bollywood, Karisma told Spotboye, “That’s not true. My daughter and her group of friends are interested in films through all aspects of movies, so whether it will be behind the scenes or in front of the camera I still do not know. They are just experimenting now and learning the ropes. So right now there are no such plans per se. Above all, Samaira is very young and still in school. This whole project is like an extra-curricular activity.”

After Sunjay Kapur’s death in June, there has been speculation about his estate and inheritance. A Pinkvilla report stated that sources close to the Kapur family confirmed Karisma has no involvement in inheritance or property matters. The source said, “She is not involved in any inheritance or property-related matters in any way. The children are the rightful heirs and will receive what is due to them. Karisma’s focus right now is only the well-being of her children.”
