Tenerife’s best beach has ‘beautiful views’ and ‘clear blue water’ | Travel News | Travel

Tenerife is one of Europe’s leading winter-sun destinations and Britons can reliably expect temperatures in the 20s throughout February.

Co-op Travel recently revealed that Tenerife was 2024’s most popular destination with Brits eager to get away for beaches and winter sun.

The Spanish island is primarily a beach destination and there’s one beach that Tripadvisor reviewers have agreed is the hotspot’s best.

Playa del Duque has golden sand and it’s located in the central tourist resort of Costa Adeje in the south of Tenerife.

With showers, bathrooms, changing rooms and loungers, it’s easy to spend the whole day on this gorgeous patch of sand.

“The top end of the beach is black sand which made for stunning photos with the blue sky whereas the sand was more traditional golden yellow at the more touristy southern parts.”

Hello Canary Islands said: “A special charm is lent to evening strolls along the beach by the spectacular sunsets – the best way to disconnect and relax.”

Playa de las Teresitas is Tenerife’s second-best rated beach, an artificial white-sand beach close to resorts.
