Actor, musician and reality show star Sudhanshu Pandey has been making the headlines for his participation in Karan Johar-hosted reality show The Traitors. Despite having been eliminated after making it into the top 5, he opened up about the popularity of his band, A Band Of Boys, which was a huge hit in the 2000s. Talking about the same, during an interview with Zoom, he recalled how women would throw their undergarments at them during their performances.
For those who don’t know, Pandey was a part of the band from 2001 to 2005. Calling A Band Of Boys an equivalent to Backstreet Boys. Quoted by the Free Press Journal, he said, “When A Band of Boys came, we became a rage. We were like competition for Backstreet Boys, an answer to them from India. Our songs were on the Grammy list.”

Recalling how the band was the first one to perform in a stadium, the 50-year-old actor said, “We were the first ones to perform in a stadium, in front of 20,000 to 25,000 people. We performed when there were no mobiles. That was also a game changer. Girls threw their undergarments at us.”
For those who don’t know, after quitting his television show Anupama in 2024, he announced the return of A Band Of Boys. The band had released an official statement about his return. Quoted by the Free Press Journal, the note read, “We are absolutely elated to have Sudhanshu back with us. It’s been years since we performed together as a full band, and this reunion has truly brought back the memories of our early days.” The band has a number of hits to their credit like Meri Neend, Gori, Tera Chehra, and the album Gaane Bhi Do Yaaro.

Talking about the show, The Traitors is an Indian adaptation of the internationally acclaimed thriller reality show of the same name. 20 celebrities, including actors, social media influencers, and content creators, are taken to an isolated place where they will have to vote for the three traitors among them.
It featured celebrities like Anshula Kapoor, Apoorva Mukhija, Ashish Vidyarthi, Elnaaz Nourouzi, Harsh Gujral, Jannat Zubair, Janvi Gaur, Jasmine Bhasin, Karan Kundrra, Lakshmi Manchu, Maheep Kapoor, Mukesh Chhabra, Nikita Luther, Purav Jha, Raftaar, Raj Kundra, Sahil Salathia, Sudhanshu Pandey, Sufi Motiwala, and Uorfi Javed.
