Bollywood actor Salman Khan is all set to make his comeback to the small screen for the upcoming season of his most anticipated, controversial reality show, Bigg Boss. Having ended its 18th season in January 2025 with Karan Veer Mehra emerging as the winner, fans are awaiting an official update about the next season from the makers. It was earlier reported that Bigg Boss 19 and Bigg Boss OTT 4 might have been axed due to alleged disagreements between the channel and the production team. The report had gone on to add that the fate of the show, along with Khatron Ke Khiladi 15, was uncertain.
However, a recent report by News18 states that Bigg Boss 19 is currently on track. The team of the controversial reality show has reached out to their potential celebrity contestants. If early reports were to be believed, the show was supposed to span from late June to January 2026, making it the longest season yet. Now, a new update on the same has surfaced. Quoting a report by Gossips TV, the media publication states that BB19 might premiere in August this year.

Contradicting to earlier reports, News18 stated that the show might start on August 3, 2025, unlike the premiere of previous seasons, which happened in October. Well, the report adds that the makers are planning on reviving some of the most-loved classic elements of the show, including the secret room, high-stakes challenges, and strict house rules with penalties for disobedience. To add to that, the makers have also decided to feature celebrities from the television and Bollywood industries only, and no social media influencers or YouTubers being a part of the show.
According to reports, the makers of Bigg Boss 19 have reached out to Faisal Shaikh, Daisy Shah, Tanushree Dutta, Khushi Dubey, Vikram Singh Chauhan, Ram Kapoor, Sharad Malhotra, Raj Kundra, Gaurav Taneja, Paras Kalnawat, and Shashank Vyas for their participation in the reality show.

On the work front, Salman Khan was last seen in AR Murugadoss’ actioner Sikandar, co-starring Rashmika Mandanna, which tanked at the box office. He will reportedly be seen next in Apoorva Lakhia’s untitled film, which will be based on the Galwan Valley clash. He will be essaying the role of Colonel Bikumalla Santosh Babu in the upcoming war drama.
