The much-anticipated Singham Again is set to explode onto screens this Diwali, but Shetty has gifted fans a throwback surprise: the re-release of the original Singham on October 18. Rohit Shetty took to Instagram and shared the poster of the 2011 hit, featuring Devgn in full “Don’t mess with me” mode, complete with aviator shades and that iconic grim expression. “Before he comes with his full force on Diwali… Experience the mass again,” read the tagline.
But the real fireworks are set to go off on November 1, when Singham Again, the third installment in the Singham franchise and the fifth in Shetty’s growing Cop Universe, lands in cinemas. The film’s trailer, which dropped earlier this month, is a full-throttle action fest with enough references to Ramayana to make you believe Bajirao Singham is one good makeover away from becoming a mythological hero. Need rescuing from a villain? Bajirao’s got you. Need some intense fight sequences? Look no further than his star-studded squad: Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Akshay Kumar, and even Tiger Shroff — basically, an Avengers lineup, but with khaki uniforms and sunglasses.
