Bollywood actor Sunny Deol is all set to return to the big screens after the blockbuster success of his film Gadar 2 (2023). On Monday evening, production company Mythri Movie Makers, known for backing films like Allu Arjun’s Pushpa, Vijay Deverakonda’s Dear Comrade, Jr NTR’s Janatha Garage and Mahesh Babu’s Sarkaru Vaari Paata among others, released the trailer of their upcoming film Jaat. While Deol essays the role of police officer, Randeep Hooda plays an antagonist, a goon who worships Ravan.
The two minute 52 second trailer gives the jist of Gopichand Malineni’s directorial’s plot. the trailer starts with people being shocked after finding dead bodies buried in the soil where they farm. As Saiyami Kher, who essays a police officer, questions the people, a child screams out that it is all Ranatunga’s (Hooda) doing.

It is then set up that Randeep along with his goons rule over the people, not even hesitating to brutally kill them all. A dialogue in the background says, “Yeh Rana Tunga ki Lanka hai, yaha raaste kilometre mein nahi, biche hue laasho mein kiye jaate hai.” We even get a glimpse of Viineet Kumar Siingh, who seems to be Ranatunga’s right hand man.
As the atrocities keep on increasing, Sunny enters with a powerful action-packed sequence. On a mission to put an end to Rana’s cruelty, he declares that he is a Jaat. Alongside him, we also get a glimpse of Ramya Krishnan, Regina Cassandra, and Swarupa Ghosh.

As it becomes clear that the film is an out-and-out massy action entertainer, with the perfect blend of the typical South style shots and massy North dialogues, Sunny’s character does a callback to his famous ‘dhai kilo ka haath’ dialogue. He says, “Yeh dhai kilo ke hath ki taaqat pura North dekh chuka hai, ab South dekhega.” During a phone call, Sunny promises Randeep that he will burn down his Lanka.
Set to release on April 10, 2025, Jaat is directed by Tollywood filmmaker Gopichand Malineni. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, the songs of the film are composed by Thaman S. The film stars Sunny Deol, Randeep Hooda, Viineet Kumar Siingh, Regina Cassandra, Ramya Krishnan, Saiyami Kher, and Swarupa Ghosh among many others.
