In a fresh announcement that has Bollywood buzzing, Ibrahim Ali Khan is set to make his much-anticipated acting debut alongside Khushi Kapoor in the film Nadaaniyan, directed by newcomer Shauna Gautam and produced by Karan Johar’s Dharmatic Entertainment. The first poster of this romantic venture was unveiled on Saturday morning, providing a delightful glimpse into what promises to be a charming love story.
The poster features Ibrahim Ali Khan and Khushi Kapoor in a semi-embrace, seated on a green field, exuding a casual yet captivating aura. The caption accompanying the image reads, “Every love story has thodi si nadaani. Hard launching Ibrahim Ali Khan and Khushi Kapoor on the main. Watch Nadaaniyan, coming soon, only on Netflix.”
This partnership marks a significant milestone for both actors. Ibrahim, the son of Saif Ali Khan, steps into the limelight following his role as an assistant director on Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani in 2023. Khushi, who made her acting debut with Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies last year, joins him in this venture that promises to explore the essence of first love’s magic, madness, and innocence. She will also be seen in the upcoming movie Loveyapa opposite Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan. This movie is releasing theatrically on 7 February 2025.
Khushi Kapoor teased her fans about her involvement in the project with a cryptic Instagram post just the previous night, showing a mystery man who is now revealed to be Ibrahim Ali Khan. This film not only marks the directorial debut of Shauna Gautam, but also signifies Netflix’s continued investment in young, promising talent from Bollywood. Meanwhile, Nadaaniyan is described as a “young adult romantic drama that captures the magic, madness and innocence of first love,” according to Netflix’s official statement.
