Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar is currently busy promoting his upcoming film Kesari Chapter 2: The Untold Story Of Jallianwala Bagh. Set in 1919, the film is based on real-life incident, where C. Sankaran Nair had taken on the British Empire and held them accountable for the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. Given the business Bollywood films have done at the box office, over the years, people have been discussing how the film might fare. The advance booking for the film began yesterday, and reports suggest that the sales have been slow.
According to the reports by the Hindustan Times, the film has overall collected just under Rs 1 crore gross in pre-sales for day 1. After adding the blocked seats for spot bookings, the figure rises to Rs 1.88 crore. The numbers might reportedly see a hike, as there are still a few hours to go for the advance bookings. The media publication reports that it doesn’t see a promising start for the courtroom drama.
