‘My Heart Goes Out’: Salman Khan Expresses Grief Over ‘Innocents Losing Life’ In Pahalgam Terrorist Attack

On Wednesday, Bollywood actor Salman Khan, just like his peers and acquaintances from the Hindi film industry, took to his official social media handle to condemn the Pahalgam terrorist attack, which has claimed more than 26 lives and left many others injured, and express his grief. For those who don’t know, he had shot for his film Bajrangi Bhaijaan, a Kabir Khan directorial, in Kashmir. A few of the scenes were also reportedly shot in Pahalgam.

Taking to his X (formerly known as Twitter) handle, the 59-year-old actor sent out his heartfelt condolences to the victim’s families. He wrote, “Kashmir,heaven on planet earth turning into hell. Innocent people being targeted, my heart goes out to their families . Ek bhi innocent ko marna puri kainath ko marne ke barabar hai.”

Soon after he tweeted, actor Hrithik Roshan also expressed his feelings about the attack. He wrote, “Deeply disturbed, disgusted and heartbroken with the cowardly act of Terrorism that took place in Pahalgam. My condolences to the families of the departed souls, may they rest in peace. Prays for the speedy recovery of those injured. May justice and the spirit of humanity prevail.”

Actress Priyanka Chopra took to her official Instagram handle and penned a strongly worded note. She wrote, “What happened in Pahalgam is reprehensible. People were there on vacations, honeymoons, celebrating with their families. Just taking in the beauty of Kashmir. So many innocent lives were caught in a storm they never asked for. Targeted, right in front of their loved ones.”

She went on to add that the heinous attack should “shake the conscience of humanity.” The actress expressed that the incident will “haunt” everyone for a long time. “To those grieving, displaced, mourning, and living in fear, my thoughts and prayers are with you. I’m so deeply anguished by this,” she concluded.

For those who don’t know, the terror attack happened on Tuesday at 3 pm. Terrorists opened fire on innocent civilians and tourists in Pahalgam’s Baisaran in Jammu and Kashmir. Videos and photos of the attack are currently going viral on social media, leaving citizens enraged over the government’s lack of protection and security.
